Ministry of energy and infrastructure on "guinness record" with largest 3d printed logo

HE Eng. Hassan Mohamed Jumaa Al Mansoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Infrastructure and Transport Sector, stated that the Ministry aims to expand the use of 3D printing in the construction of federal buildings projects it supervises. The move is expected to be a radical turning point in the construction sector, which will in turn ramp up the pace and speed of building implementation and completion in record time and cut down construction costs.

On the occasion of receiving a Guinness World Records certificate for the largest printed logo using 3D printing technology, as part of a ceremony organized by the Ministry in its building in Sharjah, Al Mansoori explained that “the trend towards relying on this technology in building and construction comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to take advantage of the most important technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in the implementation of infrastructure projects, thus supporting the UAE's approach in the field of sustainability.”Al Mansoori pointed out that the Ministry made a new achievement by getting into the Guinness Book of Records for the largest 3D-printed logo, which is the first of its kind in the world, as the UAE Centennial 2071 logo was produced in 3D printing.On this occasion, Eng. Al Mansoori also stated “We are guided by the vision and directives of the state in promoting a culture of innovation and adopting the latest technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including 3D printing. Some buildings in the Ministry's projects have been executed using this technology as part of the Ministry's support for the culture of innovation as one of the Ministry’s strategic pillars. Innovation is used to strengthen the UAE's position by achieving its vision by its centennial in 2071 to become the best country in the world. We seek to utilize modern smart tools and innovative ideas to achieve the vision of the state.”HE Eng. Youssef Abdullah, Assistant Undersecretary for the Federal Infrastructure Projects Sector, said: “The Ministry’s vision of innovation is to follow up, study and deploy the relevant available modern technologies to face challenges and invest in opportunities, in an effort to be among the best, and a practical reference that enables it to lead in all that is new in the transport and infrastructure sector.”

وقال سعادة المهندس حسن محمد جمعة المنصوري بهذه المناسبة: نهتدي برؤية وتوجيهات الدولة في تعزيز ثقافة الابتكار واعتماد أحدث تقنيات الثورة الصناعية الرابعة والتي تشمل الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد، حيث تم تنفيذ بعض المباني ضمن مشاريع الوزارة بهذه التقنية في إطار دعم الوزارة ثقافة الابتكار التي تعتبر أحد المحاور الاستراتيجية لها والتي يتم تسخيرها في تعزيز مكانة الإمارات بتحقيق رؤيتها بحلول المئوية عام 2071 كأفضل دولة بالعالم، وإننا نسعى إلى تسخير الأدوات الحديثة الذكية والأفكار المبتكرة لتحقيق رؤية الدولة.وبدوره، قال سعادة المهندس يوسف عبدالله، وكيل الوزارة المساعد لقطاع مشاريع البنية التحتية الاتحادية:" إن رؤية الوزارة في الابتكار تتمثل في متابعة ودراسة وتوظيف التقنيات الحديثة المتاحة ذات الصلة لمواجهة التحديات واستثمار الفرص، سعياً منها لأن تكون ضمن الأفضل، ومرجعية عملية تُمكنّها من الريادة فى كل ما هو جديد فى قطاع النقل والبنية التحتية.
