Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Marks Zayed Humanitarian Day
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) organized a host of charity initiatives to celebrate Zayed Humanitarian Day, observed on Ramadan 19 of every year.
His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said: “Zayed Humanitarian Day is a day of giving back to society. It reflects the UAE’s commitment to the humanitarian values that Sheikh Zayed instilled in the UAE people. Our wise leadership has continued on the same path of giving and helping those in need.”
He added: “Charitable and humanitarian work is a part and parcel of our community, reaching people in need wherever they are across the globe. The UAE was one of the first countries to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters who were affected by the war in Gaza, providing life-saving aid to alleviate their suffering. This is but one of many examples of the country’s philanthropic efforts.”
The Minister applauded the UAE’s support of communities around the world through contributing to their renewables and sustainability drives.
Initiatives that marked Zayed Humanitarian Day included distributing Ramadan food baskets to families with limited income and blue-collar workers, handing out packaged iftar meals to fasting people, and organizing a mass iftar for the Ministry’s support staff in the presence of His Excellency Eng Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI. Such initiatives foster the spirit of giving and compassion during the holy month and nurture a sense of solidarity.
وتفصيلاً، نظمت الوزارة، بمشاركة سعادة المهندس حسن محمد جمعة المنصوري، وكيل الوزارة لشؤون البنية التحتية والنقل، وسعادة المهندس شريف العلماء، وكيل الوزارة لشؤون الطاقة والبترول، وأصحاب السعادة الوكلاء المساعدين والموظفين، فعالية تجهيز وتوزيع المير الرمضاني " سلة الخير" التي تستهدف توفير مواد غذائية للأسر المتعففة وذوي الدخل المحدود والعمال، بما يعكس أسمى القيم الإنسانية لمجتمع الإمارات، ودور الوزارة المجتمعي وتجسيد روح المسؤولية والمبادرة بفعل الخير.
كما قامت الوزارة بتوزيع وجبات الإفطار على الصائمين، بما يعكس قيم التسامح ويرسخ معاني العطاء وقيم التكافل ونشر روح العمل الخيري والتطوعي، ومبادئ المسؤولية المجتمعية، ونهج الخير الذي رسمته الإمارات لنفسها منذ تأسيسها،
كما نظمت الوزارة بحضور سعادة وكيل الوزارة لشؤون الطاقة والبترول، إفطاراً جماعياً لفئة الخدمات المساندة في مبنى الوزارة بدبي، وذلك ضمن الفعاليات والبرامج التي تنظمها خلال شهر رمضان المبارك. وأكد سعادته حرص الوزارة على تعزيز أواصر الترابط بين العمّال وبين بيئة عملهم، وتنمية الشعور بالولاء والانتماء، إلى جانب غرس قيم العطاء والمودة والإخاء في الشهر الفضيل.
