Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Unveils Building Humanization Project to Enhance Quality of Life

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced the launch of the Building Humanization project, a transformational project that is part of the third batch of projects aiming to achieve the objectives of the ‘We the UAE’ vision 2031.

The launch of this integrated system, which includes the development of standards and the issuance of a certificate for humanizing buildings, comes within the framework of the UAE Government’s declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Community." It directly contributes to enhancing the quality of life and achieving sustainable development, reflecting the country's commitment to creating living environments that are more comfortable, healthier, and better suited to the needs of individuals and communities. This certificate is the first of its kind in the region and is a global certification with an Emirati character, aligned with the best global practices in the field. It has been developed based on global best practices, further enhancing the country's position as a leading center in the development of sustainable urban environments.

His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said: “The project represents a qualitative leap in the development of the country's infrastructure. The humanizing building standards that have been developed aim to provide sustainable and healthy living environments by implementing advanced national specifications that focus on improving air quality, enhancing natural lighting, providing thermal comfort, reducing noise, and encouraging physical activity. These efforts contribute to enhancing public health and improving the well-being of individuals and communities. These standards reflect the country's commitment to adopting a comprehensive approach to urban design that considers cultural identity and local climate, with a focus on sustainability and innovation in the construction and building sector.”

وأكد معاليه أن معايير أنسنة المباني التي تم تطويرها تهدف إلى توفير بيئات معيشية مستدامة وصحية، عبر تطبيق مواصفات وطنية متقدمة تركز على تحسين جودة الهواء، وتعزيز الإضاءة الطبيعية، وتوفير الراحة الحرارية، وتقليل الضوضاء، وتشجيع النشاط البدني، مما يسهم في تعزيز الصحة العامة ورفع مستوى رفاهية الأفراد والمجتمعات. وتعكس هذه المعايير التزام الدولة بتبنّي نهج متكامل في التصميم العمراني يأخذ في الاعتبار الهوية الثقافية والمناخ المحلي، مع التركيز على الاستدامة والابتكار في قطاع البناء والتشييد.

وأضاف معالي وزير الطاقة والبنية التحتية: "أن هذه المعايير تضع أسساً واضحة لتوفير مساحات أكثر راحة، وتساعد على تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، وأن الوزارة تعمل على تعزيز الابتكار في قطاع البنية التحتية، من خلال تطبيق معايير عالمية تتناسب مع احتياجات المجتمع الإماراتي، مما يسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية الإمارات 2071".

وتابع معاليه حديثه: "إن إطلاق هذا المشروع يُعد خطوة رائدة تعزز مكانة الإمارات كدولة سبّاقة في تطوير مواصفات معمارية مستدامة وإنسانية، وتؤكد ريادتها في مجال التخطيط الحضري الذكي الذي يحقق التوازن بين التقدم العمراني وبين رفاهية الأفراد. كما أن هذه المبادرة تدعم جهود الدولة في التحول إلى اقتصاد مستدام قائم على المعرفة والابتكار، مما يجعلها نموذجًا عالميًا يحتذى به في مجال التصميم العمراني الصديق للإنسان والبيئة".

وأوضح معاليه أن تطبيق معايير "أنسنة المباني" سيسهم في تحقيق تحولات جذرية في مشروعات الإسكان والبنية التحتية المستقبلية، حيث سيتم تبني هذه المعايير في المشاريع الجديدة لضمان توفير بيئات معيشية أكثر استدامة وصحة. كما دعت الوزارة الجهات المعنية كافة في القطاعين الحكومي والخاص إلى التعاون المشترك لتطبيق هذه المعايير على نطاق واسع، والسعي للحصول على الشهادة الإماراتية المختصة في المجال بما يضمن مستقبلًا أكثر راحة وازدهارًا للأجيال المقبلة.
